What it is
RGB and RGBW LEDs placed behind a translucent membrane — or hidden in coves around it — let a ceiling change colour. Scenes can be recalled with a remote, wall controller or, depending on the system, a phone app.
Colour lighting is popular in banquet halls, bars, gaming rooms and kids' rooms, and as accent lighting around printed or gloss ceilings. Controls are chosen to suit how the space is used.
