Printed Stretch Ceilings

Any image — a blue sky, a forest canopy, marble, abstract art or your own photograph — printed onto the stretch membrane, with or without backlighting.

What it is

Printed stretch ceilings use UV printing to reproduce vivid images on membranes with finishes from matte to high-gloss. They are a way to add a feature that no paint or POP work can achieve.

Printed panels suit both homes and businesses: a sky above a dental chair, a canopy of leaves over a bathtub, marble in a corridor, or brand artwork in a store. When combined with backlighting, the image glows and the ceiling doubles as a light source.

Benefits

  • Turns the ceiling into the room's main design feature
  • Wide choice of designs, or a fully custom image
  • Backlit versions add light as well as decoration
  • Hides an uneven or damaged slab behind a clean surface

Things to consider

  • Your own images need enough resolution for the printed size — we check files before printing.
  • Very large ceilings may need more than one panel; we plan joins and profiles around the design.
  • Colours on screen and in print differ slightly; we can share a proof before production.

Installation

  1. 1Choose a design and confirm the exact size after the site survey.
  2. 2Approve a layout proof showing how the image sits on your ceiling.
  3. 3The printed membrane is fabricated and installed into perimeter profiles.

Care and maintenance

  • Dust gently with a soft, dry microfibre cloth.
  • For marks, use a slightly damp cloth with plain water; do not scrub.
  • Keep sharp objects, solvents and abrasive cleaners away from the print.

Questions about printed

Can I print my own photo?

Yes, provided the file has enough resolution for the size of your ceiling. Send it to us and we will check it before you commit.

Is a printed ceiling only for homes?

No. Printed ceilings are widely used in clinics, cafés, restaurants, showrooms and offices as well as bedrooms and kids' rooms.

Will the colours fade?

Fade resistance depends on the membrane, inks and exposure to direct sunlight. Ask us for the details for the material proposed in your quotation.

Can a printed ceiling be backlit?

Yes. Printing on a translucent membrane with LEDs behind it makes the image glow — popular for sky and foliage designs.
