Stretch ceilings are straightforward to specify when the key decisions are made early. This guide covers what to consider and what to request from us.
Design-stage checks
- Finished ceiling level and available cavity depth (critical for backlit ceilings).
- Fixing surfaces for perimeter profiles.
- Positions of lights, grilles, sprinklers, detectors and access panels.
- Joints and intermediate profiles for large areas or printed designs.
Documentation to request
- Data sheets for the proposed membrane and lighting.
- Any fire or material test documentation your project requires.
- Profile and fixing details.
- Warranty terms.
- A BOQ for tender pricing.
Sequencing
Install the stretch ceiling after wet trades, painting and first-fix services are complete. Lighting is installed and tested before the membrane goes in.
